Ever since I tutored with America Reads and learned about the power learning gave the masses during the Medieval Time Period, along with how one priest explained that the word humanities is equal to education, I knew exactly what direction to steer the rest of my life.
In 2007, I graduated with a BA in Art History and a few short months later began a master's program in elementary education. In 2009, I graduated with a MAED/TED degree in Elementary Education (a master's degree with teacher licensing). All along, I've known that I want my focus to be reading and math, but in order to do this, I need to earn the required endorsements.
Earning endorsements can be a very costly and lengthy process. It has taken a couple of years to gain acceptance into the programs of my choosing. Apparently, 2011 is my lucky year! Both endorsement classes are available, and I've been accepted! I will begin next week.
This blog will be my main source of notes. In this way, I can keep track of all the great information I learn, a way to organize that information easily, and possibly a resource to any of you that happen to stop by!
See you again next week!
Here is a list of all the Endorsements you can add to a UT teaching license.
